 Wooden Podium is an extremely versatile type of wooden storage cabinet with the added feature of being completely natural. It's usually used for temporary storage of important documents and office supplies. Its open shelving design makes it perfect for temporary outdoor storage.



Measurements: 

To determine the right Wooden Podium size, you need to know the overall size of your items that you plan to store. To determine the most suitable depth of each shelf, you need to stand on top of two non-slip platforms. Hold the items above the ground on each platform and use a measuring tape to get the exact measurement. Wooden Podiums are available in different heights and widths, depending on your needs.

Use: 

Although not often needed, Wooden Podium can be used as stands during events where there's a requirement to display items. If you want to have a more permanent fixture on a surface, you can use podiums with a locking mechanism. However, it would be wiser to use standard stands with locking mechanisms for high-security locations. You can also use a locking mechanism on wooden podiums if you want to add a bit of spice to an exhibition. You can do so by adding lights to your display or by drilling a hole on the bottom of the podium.

Overall dimensions: 

It's important to take measurements of the entire area where you intend to place the Wooden Podium so that you'll know its exact size. Take note that the height must be consistent all throughout; otherwise, you'll have an unevenly sized piece. You should also take note of its overall dimensions, including those of the front panel, doors, and sides (if you're using side panels). The overall dimensions of your podium need to be at least twice the length and width of the overall dimension of the tabletop or table you intend to use it on.

Form factor: 

As far as form factor goes, you can either go with a round, rectangular, or oval wood form. If you plan to use the Podium in a public setting, go for a round form that's at least eight feet in length and four feet in width; the oval version can be a little smaller but is still quite large enough to meet most booth sizes. In terms of height, the wood forms are just a tad taller than a standard-sized sheet of plywood. All these things will largely affect your cost and installation time. Just remember that the bigger your audience and table size, the longer it will take to install a Podium based on its overall size.

Finishing touches: 

If you're looking to install your new Wooden Podium, you may want to consider adding some finishing touches to protect it from damage. For instance, you can easily apply a clear lacquer to the top piece of wood as a precaution against accidental spills and stains. Another popular option is to coat the wood with a clear polyurethane finish. Either way, both these finishes are fairly easy to apply, relatively cheap, and can easily make your Podium look like new again. The final touch to a newly installed Podium, as in my case, is to add a clear protective canopy or bottom sheet to cover the Podium during transportation and storage. This helps prevent your new podium from overheating while it waits to be set into place on your trade show exhibit.
